End of November...

So I totally slacked off in the last week of November about posting...sorry my days just got crazy! We had a great Thanksgiving it just went by way too fast. We had a wonderful visit with our extended families and found out some FANTASTIC news about my cousin who just found out she is expecting!!! We are so excited for you Lisa!!! The Lord has blessed our family so much this year and is continuing to pour out blessings over us. On a less exciting note, I just realized today that my 30th birthday is coming up rather soon...6 weeks....and I kinda threw up in my mouth. I can't even think about it.  As we enter December, I decided that I am going to try and post "The Best Of 2011." Just some holiday or special pics that happened this year before I started this blog. I am also thinking about scanning in some old pics of me as a countdown to Black Saturday...aka January 14th...aka my 30th birthday. So be ready, they might be pretty hilarious. Also if you want to email any submissions to my photo collection countdown, I will review and possibly post them. But for tonight, I will leave you with a few pictures of what has gone on around here in the last few days. Happy December!

Happy Turkey Day!

Tree time...tutus are optional

Carlie is mobile now...not quite on all fours but she pull herself anywhere

Thank you Lord for these waffles cinnamon rolls. My new favorite snack!

Rub a dub dub three girls in the tub

Happy Christmas!

My First Christmas...YAY!!

30 Days: Day 23

November 23, 2011

Today I am thankful for the day off tomorrow. I am glad that I am not having to worry about going in to work on a holiday. Lots of people don't have that luxury. P.S. You won't see this girl in any store that is open on Thanksgiving....everyone deserves time to rest with their family. And for those of you who are going to be sitting for HOURS in order to get great deals, bless your hearts. I hope you get what you are looking for. I just like to go and watch people on Black Friday. They are crazy!!! You won't find any Christmas spirit or holiday cheer in Wal-Mart come 8:00 tomorrow night that is for sure. Those people are out for blood...haha
Happy Turkey Day!!

30 Days: Day 22

November 22, 2011

Today I am thankful for Pinterest. For those who are not on Pinterest, it is a website where you can "pin" your Internet findings on to specific boards so you can reference them later. I have been doing this manually for years. My college roommates called them my "files." I would tear pictures out of magazines, print out pictures and ideas from the Internet, and tear out and make copies of millions of recipes that I wanted to try. Then about once a month I would organize my files and separate my findings in to specific categories. Food, wedding, baby, fashion, etc. But now Pinterest allows me to do all this online and more. Now I have exclusive access to every one's files. I am mildly obsessed. I am constantly yelling for Randy to come and look at what I have found...He has repeatedly told me I am losing his pinterest....haha...So here are a few of the projects I have tried...I am pretty pleased with how they turned out...Please follow me so I check out all your ideas too.

I have sooo many more that I want to try...if only this was my job...sigh...

30 Days: Day 21

November 21, 2011

Today I am thankful for a holiday week. Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday. I love the weather, the decor, the food, the food, and the food, and I love love love the parade. I am so excited to see my family and spend time with them and then finally get to put up our Christmas tree and other decorations. I love this time of year. Here is a sweet picture of June Ann from Thanksgiving last year....man she is getting so big....

30 Days: Day 19-20

November 19, 2011

Today I am thankful for a quick calm Saturday at work with my girls. We have been so busy and stressed at work lately, so to have a slower Saturday was a nice end to a crazy week. Then Randy and I took the girls Christmas shopping and out to eat. It was an awesome Saturday.

November 20, 2011

Today I am thankful for my husband. He not only does an unspeakable amount for me and our girls but he will drop anything to help my family. I don't think he realizes how much it means to me that he used his only days off this week to paint my mom's bedroom. We never had a strong male figure living in our home, so my mom and grandma did all of the "Dad" things around the house. Now that they are getting older...(not old Mom...just older...) it has become harder for them to do all the handy work things around the house. It has also been hard for them to hand over that kind of stuff. But Randy never hesitates to help...he paints, pulls up carpet, mows the yard, cleans the gutters...the list goes on and on. I told him tonight that he will never know how much it means to me that he not only takes care of his family but he continually takes care of mine. Man, I love this guy more everyday!
I will leave you today with a few pics of my little turkeys before church this morning...Love these little gobblers!

(you can tell June Ann was not to happy about the photo shoot....)

oh and here is a picture of my AMAZING husband I am so thankful for today  (and everyday)

this was on his 30th birthday...I like older men ;)

30 Days: Day 18

November 18, 2011

Today I am thankful for the sweet innocence of Christmas magic. I love that for the past couple of nights June Ann has sat and studied the toy catalogs. She looks and points and yells about what she wants Santa to bring. It is so cute to see her recognize toys and movies from commercials. I can't wait until Christmas morning!

(ps those are not pills on the table behind her, they are Sweetarts...haha)

30 Days: Day 17

November 17, 2011

Today I am thankful for my sweet baby. She turned seven months old today. I can't believe how fast time flies! It seems like just yesterday that I looked like this

(woah)

and then WE looked like this

and now she looks like this

She is such a little blessing and I am so thankful for her.
Happy 7 month birthday sweet Carlie!!

30 Days: Day 16

November 16, 2011

Today I am thankful for the skill of sewing. And more than that the grandmother who made sure I knew how. Tonight I sat down at my machine to create a "turkey" onsie (more on that later when I get my pics uploaded), the smell of the sewing machine reminded me of her. I can remember sitting with my Mamma at her old Singer and trying to figure out how exactly she could make pretty much anything. She could make Barbie clothes, baby dolls, bathing suits, Halloween costumes, and everything in between. I was in awe (I still am). She taught me how to read a pattern Bible, how to ease up on my lead foot (or knee depending on which accelerator I was using), and how wind a bobbin. As I worked on my project tonight,  I thought about how alot of women my age don't even know how to sew on a button. It is definitely a lost art. I am so thankful that she took the time to show me how to sew and I am very thankful for all the extra time I spent with her learning. I promised myself tonight that my girls will all know how to sew...at least enough to hem a pair of pants...haha...

30 Days: Day 15

November 15, 2011

Today I thankful for being able to lay around with my husband and watch TV. Tonight Randy and I watched several shows tonight but I LOVE "New Girl" with Zooey Deschanel. I laughed and laughed and laughed. I think it is so well written and each character is so well defined and quirky. I will be more than happy to share my feelings on any show but I promise if you look up this show and watch, you will not be disappointed.

30 Days: Days 10-14

November 10, 2011

Today I am thankful for sisters that turn into fun aunts. We had a GREAT time going to visit Aunt Rachael! She lives 3 hours away but it was worth the drive. We laughed, talked, shopped, ate, and got crafty. Good times. We love Aunt Sarah and Aunt Melody too...very blessed to have these ladies closer to home.

November 11, 2011

Today I am very thankful for a reliable car....check out the new mileage on this beauty...getting my moneys worth!
(insert a picture of Randy's truck rolling over to 200,000 miles)

I am also very thankful for our veterans! Sacrificing their time, families and lives so that I didn't have to. I am especially thankful to my grandfathers, uncles, and friends who have served in the different branches of the armed services. Your service is very much appreciated.

November 12, 2011

Today I am thankful for my awesome husband! I came home from Rachael's house to a clean house and a homemade lasagna ready to go into the oven. I am very lucky to be married to a great provider, daddy to our girls and pretty incredible cook. Love you Randy!Pinned Image(source)

November 13, 2011

Today I am thankful for the super sweet guy that works with Randy who fixed our computer for FREE...(that's one of the main reasons I haven't posted in a few days)...We tried to pay him but he refused so we are gonna buy him lunch one day this week.... YAY the computer is back and faster than ever!

(ps the issues I have been having with my computer have nothing to do now with it getting fixed. It is now an issue of the operator (me) not being able to post pics for some reason....I will figure it out)

November 14, 2011

Today I am thankful for my sight and my mom's sight. It is something I know I take for granted. Being able to see the fall colors, my babies sweet faces, and Christmas trees...(haha Rachael) My mom has been having some issues with her eyesight lately (but by the grace of God it is looking like her sight will recover) and I been really trying to appreciate things like my senses.  You don't realize how blessed you really are until you have something so basic taken away. So this week I am going to really try to soak in every little thing I can see.

technical difficulties...

We interrupt this post of 30 Thankful Days due to technical difficulties...we hope to iron out the kinks and pick back up tomorrow...and by iron out the kinks I mean stomp, kick, cuss, and throw my computer and phone out the door...

There is a strong possibility that this is an operator error.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

30 Days: Day 9

November 9, 2011

Today I am thankful for children with a strong will. I hope that her stubborn personality takes her to the top of whatever success ladder she decides to climb. I hope that she never lets anyone treat her badly or shy away because of a lack of self confidence. I hope that her hard headed nature helps her to stand up for what she believes no matter what opposition she faces. I hope that she continues to stand her ground and not take anything lying down. But for tonight I wish she would just take her medicine.

p.s. we sat like this for 20 mins tonight...uggghhhh
